JOIN THE NEXT SELF-PUBLISHING WORKSHOP

Friday, May 7, 2010 and Friday 17th September, 2010
The Boardroom at CPI Antony Rowe Ltd
Chippenham, Wiltshire with guided tour of the book production

If you are baffled by the publishing and marketing process, this daylong Workshop for only eight writers, will help decide the best way to prepare your manuscript for publication.

We will show you how to plan a strategy for final editing, organising the printing confidently and marketing your book successfully.

We write books for many reasons:

  • perhaps you have a non fiction account of a fascinating career or ususual travel, kept as a diary
  • perhaps you have identified a chink in the market where a new book would fill that need
  • perhaps it is the findings of academic research that you wish to publish for wider readership
  • perhaps you and your group wish to publish a collection of recipes, poems or stories to celebrate or commemorate a special person, place or occasion
  • perhaps your subject matter is too specific or too localised to appeal to a mainstream publisher
perhaps your local history group wish to record a collection of research with illustrations

Whatever your reason to self-publish, you want to produce the best product with an attractive, relevant cover, a book that is a joy to handle, that is easy to read, well illustrated and a pleasure to place on our bookshelves and to recommend to others.

Most importantly, you want a book that you are proud to sell.
You also need to maximise the return on your work and to know that you have planned your marketing in order to sell all of the copies of your book.

Use this application form to apply for a place on this workshope.
