The Hampshire Writers' Society welcomes all writers in Hampshire to join this new society, which will reach out to the broadest community, interacting with a unique and growing sector of aspiring writers, identifying new writers and engaging young people by encouraging an interest in both writing creatively and critically.
 

The Founding of the Hampshire Writers’ is a developmental project of the Winchester Writers’ Conference, now in its 31st year at the University of Winchester. It aims to provide a broad range of professional knowledge exchange activities for hundreds of aspiring and published writers of all ages and cultures living in Hampshire. These will include talks by well known authors, poets, playwrights, literary agents, commissioning editors and industry specialists, as well as panels, discussions and performances.

The meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month beginning in September.

An annual fee of £25 would be paid by all members. Visitor’s fee £5.00 per meeting.

Refreshments will be provided at a nominal cost.

A specific writing competition would be a feature for each meeting
